Association Faculty of Arts Students’ Independent Electoral Committee (AFASIEC) has commenced the accreditation exercise for AFASites for the upcoming Faculty of Arts elections.

In a special release dated July 12, 2023, AFASIEC urged AFASites to “grab a remarkable chance to shape the future of our faculty” by getting accredited for the upcoming Faculty of Arts elections. The electoral body also encouraged Afasites to actively participate in the electoral process in order to “create a brighter future for the faculty”.

While highlighting the process of the accreditation in the release, AFASIEC stated that only Afasites who have paid dues will have access to accreditation. AFASites who might face difficulties in the course of accreditation are also urged to reach out to the Financial Secretary of the faculty of Arts via a provided WhatsApp number so that their details can be added to the accreditation portal.

Furthermore, AFASIEC provided two accreditation links, the first one for AFASites in the departments of AIS, Archaeology, CLA, Classics, English, and European studies and the second for AFASites in the departments of History, Linguistics, Music, Philosophy, Religious studies, and Theatre Arts.
The accreditation exercise will end on Friday, July 14, 2023 by 11:59 pm.
