UI RESDEV GenZ Hackathon 2023: Dynamo Emerges Winner, Wins a Sum of 250,000 Naira

Dynamo, one of the teams that made it to the top 10 of the GenZ hackathon 2023, has on Tuesday October 31, 2023 emerged winner at the grand finale of the event held at Trenchard hall, University of Ibadan. Following the collation of grades by the judges, the team garnered the highest points of 74.43% to emerge as the winner of the event.

The team focused on creating a solution on a comprehensive health management system known as “healse”, a contraction of health care with ease.

According to one of the team members, Adeoti Warith Adetayo, the idea was borne out of finding a lasting solution to the long period of waiting at Jaja clinic before being attend to, due to the manual process in the operations of the clinic.

“The inspiration for this solution was drawn from our individual experiences at Jaja. Despite the excellent health care services provided at Jaja, we identified a significant challenge in the waiting time mainly due to manual process in certain aspects of their operations. Consequently, our team enthusiastically embarked on a mission to streamline these processes and improve efficiency.”

He lauded the unwavering support of the team lead, Ebunoluwa Oluwayomi, and the mentorship of Mrs Sharon which were instrumental in successful completion of the project. He also commended the enthusiasm and collaborative teamwork of each members of the team.

Also, Adeoti stressed the team’s commitment to bring their ideas to fruition.

“We are not resting on our laurels. Even after our next pitch, we are committed to seeing our idea through to fruition.”

He further expressed gratitude to the stakeholders of the University healthcare service for their support, he promised that the solutions will be integrated into the operations of the clinic.

Meanwhile, Team SAMS, Electpoll, and Team Optimization emerged as the first runner-up, second runner-up, and third runner-up respectively. Team SAMS was presented a dummy cheque of 150,000 naira, and Electpoll received 100,000 naira.
