“The Great Achievement of the Administration is that We Have Created a Stronger Union” – Host, UI SU President

The University of Ibadan Students’ Union (UISU) President, Samuel Samson Tobiloba (HOST), has said that the notable achievement of his led administration is the birth of a stronger union.

He made the statement while he was fielding questions from the members of the Union of Campus Journalists in a Press conference held on Sunday, January 14, 2024, at the Students’ Representative Council Chambers.

“The great achievement of this administration is that we have created a stronger union. Our predecessors will have to build on the existing structure. Since the inception of the union government on campus, this is the strongest union so far,” he said.

He also advocated for a strong collaboration between the Union Executives and the students so that the union could speak in one voice.

“The power of the union is in the unity of its members. If we all resolve that we want to do something, it is our responsibility to key into it. The union is what an average UIte wants it to be, let us be reckoned with a voice.”
