Adigun Mary, Others Emerge as Faculty Of Arts L-and-D Executives 

The Faculty of Arts Literary and Debating Society has announced a new set of leadership for the 2023/2024 session to be headed by Adigun Mary, a 300-level of the department of the Theatre Arts.

Others are Sakeenah Kareem, a 200-level student of Communication and Language Arts, who will be serving as the Vice President; Fatoki Ifeoluwa, a 200-level student of European Studies, who will be serving as the General Secretary; and Morakinyo Temidayo, a 300-level student of Communication and Language Arts, who will be serving as the society’s Public Relations Officer.

Musbau Sulaimon, a 300-level student of Communication and Language Arts, will be the Speech Coach; Salahudeen Mahbubat, 200-level Communication and Language Arts student, will serve as the Rookies’ Coach alongside Awoko Emmanuel, a student of English and Literary Studies, who will serve as the Assistant Rookies’ Coach, while Kolawole Gbenga, a 200-level student of Communication and Language Arts, will be the society’s Assistant General Secretary.

Speaking on emergence as the society’s president, Adigun Mary described it a call to service and expressed her delight at the fact that her co-executives are individuals passionate about public speaking.

“I am deeply humbled and grateful to be leading the Faculty of Arts Literary and Debating Society, a community that has been a source of inspiration and growth for me. To be surrounded by individuals who share a passion for public speaking and a commitment to self-improvement is truly a privilege. As committed individuals and leaders, we will continually build a society where every member finds their voice, hones their craft, and supports one another in our collective pursuit of excellence.
