Team “New Era” Visits Popular Fresh FM Broadcaster

The members of the executive arm of the Association of Faculty of Arts Students paid a courtesy visit to popular Fresh FM broadcaster and alumnus of the Department of Communication and Language Arts, Mr Samuel Ibikunle, popularly known as Arugbo Boys, on Wednesday.

Speaking to AFAS Press, the association’s Public Relations Officer, Daniel Oladosu (Jacinth), said the purpose of the visit is to seek advice and also create a good relationship with the alumni body of the association. 

According to the official release by the executive, Mr Samuel Ibikunle, who currently serves as the Head of Programs at Tiwantiwa Radio Station and doubles as a presenter on Fresh FM 105.9 in Ibadan, shared valuable advice with the executive during the visit, “emphasizing the importance of selfless leadership and avoiding decisions driven by personal interests.” He also encouraged the executives to be innovative in organizing events. 

“Additionally, he offered to provide internship opportunities at the radio station for interested students, leveraging his membership in AFAS.“
