The management of the University of Ibadan has on Sunday announced that there will be no more extension of registration deadlines.

According to the official mail sent to students, signed by the University’s registrar, Mr. G.O Saliu, who also doubles as the council’s secretary, the decision is coming after a senate sitting held on Wednesday, 3rd of April 2024, where the senate “re-iterated the importance of adhering to registration deadlines by students, faculty and staff.”

Students are advised to take cognizance of this information as requests for extension of registration deadlines will no more be attended to with effect from the 2023/2024 academic session,” the mail reads.

Recall that during the just concluded 2022/2023 session, the University of Ibadan Student’s Union under the leadership of the immediate former president,Tobiloba Samson “Host”, had to seek the extension of registration for students unable to pay for the school fees due to the increment. However, with the new increment announced, it is unsure if students will be able to meet the registration deadline.
