UISU Meets VC, Assures of Management’s Commitment to Protest’s Resolution

The University of Ibadan Student’s Union has on Friday assured the students of the management’s commitment to the resolution made during the Wednesday protest.

This statement was made in a release signed by Aweda Bolaji and Ogundijo Japheth, the Union’s President and General Secretary respectively after a meeting consisting of the Union’s executive council members, the principal officers of the SRC and the Vice Chancellor.

“Upon the arrival of the Vice Chancellor to the University yesterday, there was a meeting between the Vice Chancellor and the Leadership of the Union to consolidate on the earlier meeting held with the management on Wednesday, July 17, 2024.

The Vice Chancellor re-affirmed all resolutions of the school and assured us of the University’s commitment to implementing the resolutions. 

In the meeting, he updated us on other information concerning the University and continued to assure us of the University management’s commitment to always responding to student displeasure,” the statement reads.
