The honourable representing the Religious Studies Consitutency, Hon. Yeboah Daniel during AFAS FLC 3rd Plenary Sitting called for the sanctioning of Inactive Honourable members.

Hon. Yeboah stressed that there are honourable members of the hallow chamber who have missed Three (3) Consecutive sittings of the house. In a swift response, the Speaker, Rt Hon Olajide Miqdad mentioned that the duty had been assigned to The Ethics Committee Chairperson, Hon. Yeboah, and the Deputy Clerk Hon. Precious.

The Speaker stated that the 2-man team is to work with the attendance of the Sittings and identify honourables who have missed three consecutive sittings and present their details to the house. According to the constitution, the seat of any honourable who has been absent for three consecutive sittings will be declared vacant. The Speaker asked the team to reach out to him to confirm if any of the identified honourables sent in a letter to inform the house of their absence.

Hon. Yeboah added that there are also yet-to-be-inaugurated members of the house who have not attended sittings since the inception of the session, hence, making their seats vacant in the house.
