UISU Finally Set to Hold Congress After Back-and-Forth
The University of Ibadan Student’s Union is set to hold a Congress on Saturday, 17th of August 2024 at the Student’s Union Building after the fourth and back that has ensued following the call by students for Congress.
Recalled that concerned students have secured the constitutionally required 250 signatories few days after the July 17th protest of which the Union leadership failed to make the call for the Congress despite receipt of the signatories.
A petition by students was also followed by a query by the Student’s Representative Council to the Executive Council, however, the executive council has failed to call for the Congress until now.
According to the information released by the Union Executives on Wednesday, The Congress which is meant to discuss the state of the Union, update on school fees, student’s loan and others, is set to hold by 7am on Saturday.
