AFAS Press Reporters  Shine at UCJUI Induction Ceremony as Oluseun Fatope wins Best Inductee Award

The Union of Campus Journalist, University of Ibadan at her 36th Induction Ceremony held today 30th November, 2024 awarded Oluseun Fatope an AFAS Press reporter the Martins Isaac Award for the Best Inductee.

The award had a cash prize of N100,000 (One hundred thousand naira only). Oluseun was named among the shortlisted candidates in a publication by the Union of Campus Journalist.

The award nominees were Rodiyah Khidir (UIMSA Press), Ambali Olayinka (INDY Press), Oluseun Fatope (AFAS Press), Sunday Precious (UIMSA Press), Victor Siyanbola (NASELS Press), Jesutomiwa Adebumowa (Law Press).

Also, a member of AFAS Press Features desk, Sakeenah Kareem emerged the second runner up prize winner for the Sunday Oguntola Essay Competition.

Recall that the UCJUI called for entries for the competition in August with the topic “Using monetary policies to combat increasing inflation and improve value of the naira.”
