The Faculty Legislative Council has requested the Departmental President to send new names to replace the names of their representatives in the AFAS Independent Electoral Committee, who missed the screening held on Friday, 10th January, 2025 latest by Monday 13th January 2025.
In the release by the FLC Spokesperson, Hon. Lawal Abdul-Qayyum, the Council argued that “the electoral activities of the Association are of utmost importance and not like a random event , this is why such members who cannot sacrifice their time to be present at the screening cannot be trusted to effectively represent the affairs of the Association in the coming elections.”
The names of the screened intending members of AFASIEC are, Adewuyi Oluwayemisi from Archeology and Anthropology, Oziegbe Kehinde from Religious Studies, Adediran Faith from History, Solanke Oluwatoyosi from European Studies, Solademi Joel from English, Awolesi Faith from Philosophy.
Every other constituency is to send in a new delegate with the exemption of the Classics Constituency due to prior notification of the representative before the parliamentary session.
