The Association of Faculty of Arts Students’ President, Adeniyi Olamilekan, Mojuba has declined the resignation of some executive members who after the resolution of the Faculty Legislative Council’s decision to scrap AFAS Week for the Session resigned from their offices.

Mojuba in a letter titled “Re: Executives’ Resignations- Request for Reconsideration” copied to the Press, asserted that “I acknowledge your frustration stemming from the FLC’s budget decision, which led to your difficult decision to resign in order to protect your integrity and reputation.”

He, however, urged the concerned parties to reconsider and retract their resignation. Adding that he is declining their resignation, “recognizing the invaluable contributions each of you brings to our team.”

Reiterating that “Let’s work together to find alternative solutions and overcome the current obstacles.”

The Offices involved as copied in the letter are the Offices of AFAS Director of Sports, AFAS Director of Socials and Welfare Services, AFAS Director of Information, AFAS Financial Secretary.

Recall that AFAS Press earlier reported that the AFAS FLC scrapped AFAS Week and approved the AFAS Dinner Budget.
